Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a Business Development Officer to join our team. We are planning to expand our business to Atlantic provinces and all Canada, becoming a first-class company that provides IT services in the area. As a Business Development Consultant at Influence Dev, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our market presence. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities within Atlantic Provinces, leveraging your expertise to build and maintain strategic relationships with potential clients and partners. You are also responsible for assessing the company’s financial situation and adjusting the investment plan in order to keep a smooth operation of the company.

 

What will you do in this role?

·         Formulate a full set of strategies to drive growth for our business, promoting business development in Atlantic Provinces and other provinces in Canada

·         Perform detailed surveys and analyses of Canadian markets to find business opportunities and fill operational gaps

·         Review and assess investment and finance plans, providing strategic advice on the proper use of funds, controlling expenditures and other operating costs

·         Conduct research on clients' preferences, positioning, and industry trends to tailor marketing strategies and optimize services

·         Research competitors and the broader marketplace to identify trends and opportunities, informing strategic decisions and enhancing market positioning.

·         Collaborate with teams in different locations, negotiate new projects and work together to implement the project plan until project completion

·         Oversee the implementation of development strategies, liaising on the ordering of necessary materials and accounting for business expansion costs

·         Develop comprehensive reports, research papers, and articles that provide insights into market trends, business performance, and strategic recommendations

·         Provide expert consultation on planning, launching, and scaling new technology-related businesses, offering guidance on best practices and strategic planning

Job Requirements:

Expected Qualifications

·         Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field is required

·         2+ years of professional experience in business development or business support in IT, emerging technology industry, or for services providers is required

·         Experience collaborating across multiple teams and locations within a large organization.

·         Previous experience in building and supporting business partnerships is required

·         Proven track record of working with rapidly changing deadlines and having the ability to move in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong business acumen with marketing, finance, and business consultation experience would be considered an asset
