Primary Job Duties:
· Soil Preparation and Irrigation: Prepare the ground meticulously, ensuring optimal conditions for crop cultivation, and manage the irrigation systems to maintain the appropriate moisture levels.
· Crop Cultivation and Maintenance: Engage in the full cycle of crop management, from sowing and nurturing with fertilizers to thinning out excessive growth, and finally, reaping the mature crops.
· Crop Harvesting: Skillfully handpick crops from both row and orchard configurations, guaranteeing timely and efficient harvesting practices.
· Packaging and Quality Control: Take part in the careful organization, weighing, and packaging of a variety of fruits and vegetables directly on the farm, adhering to quality control standards for distribution.
· Logistics and Handling: Skillfully load, unload, and transfer crates, essential supplies, farm produce, and products, ensuring their safe and efficient transportation to various destinations.
· Farm Area Maintenance: Contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the farm by actively participating in the cleaning and organization of racks, trays, and harvest bins, as well as maintaining the growing, production, and packaging areas.
· Equipment and Facility Care: Assist in the general maintenance of equipment and tools to extend their longevity and ensure they are in optimal working condition, thereby enhancing overall farm productivity.
Expected Qualifications
- Some secondary school education is preferred. will provide on-site training.
- Previous experience in planting, crop cultivation, or a related field is an asset.
- Basic cleaning and organize skills.
- Good health condition.
- Ability to work with others.
- Time management skills
- Detail-oriented, especially when sorting and packing produce to meet quality standards. Precision is essential.
