Role Overview:
We are actively searching for a dynamic and enthusiastic Medical Clinic Assistant to join our thriving team. As a Medical Clinic Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of the clinic while assisting practitioners and ensuring a positive patient experience. This position combines administrative responsibilities with patient care duties within the unique context of TCM practices.
What will you do in this role?
• Assist practitioners with patient consultations, including taking medical histories, explaining treatment procedures, and answering patient questions.
• Support herbal medicine prescription preparation and administration, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring patient reactions.
• Assist with acupuncture treatments, set up equipment, and maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms.
• Monitor and update patient charts, including documenting treatments, medications, and patient progress.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless integration of alternative and conventional medicine.
• Maintain inventory of herbal remedies, needles, and other supplies, ordering replacement items as needed.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in herbal medicine and alternative therapies.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing their needs and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
• Minimum College diploma in Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacognosy, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a medical assistant in healthcare sectors or pharmaceuticals industry.
• Previous experience working with corporate executives is desired.
• Familiarity with Traditional Chinese Medicine practices and terminology or experience in Chinese medicine formula mixture is an asset.
• Sufficient interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
