Primary Job Duties:

·         Conduct cost analysis and cost-benefit assessments to determine the most cost-effective procurement strategies. Seek opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

·         Work closely with suppliers to maintain and improve the quality of clothing items. Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all products meet the shop’s standards and customer expectations.

·         Manage supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring they are up-to-date, compliant, and favorable to the shop. Negotiate favorable terms, including payment terms, delivery schedules, and returns policies.

·         Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess or obsolete stock. Implement inventory turnover strategies and coordinate with the management to reduce carrying costs.

·         Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions in the availability of materials or geopolitical issues affecting suppliers. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure the continuity of the supply chain.

·         Stay informed about market trends, emerging fashion styles, and competitive pricing in the fashion industry. Use this knowledge to make informed procurement decisions and identify new supplier opportunities.

·         Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements and facilitate audits as necessary.

·         Explore sustainable sourcing options and eco-friendly suppliers to align with the shop’s environmental goals. Implement sustainable procurement practices where possible, such as sourcing from ethical and environmentally responsible suppliers.

·         Generate regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Job Requirements:

Skills Requirements:

·         Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or college diploma in business, commerce, bioengineering, textiles, fabric products, or a related field is preferred.

·         3-5 Year experience as a Procurement Officer or similar roles in the clothing industry is required.

·         Proficient in using MS Office.

·         Proven experience in building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with garment suppliers.

·         Effective risk management and risk assessment skills.

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct cost analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and cost-saving initiatives.

·         Proficiency in using financial modeling and analysis tools.

·         Bring knowledge of current fashion trends, styles, and campaigns.

·         Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills
